Want to serve on a nonprofit board?
The United Way Project Blueprint program provides nonprofits with a talented and diverse pool of candidates to serve on their boards of directors. The program helps partner agencies remain on the cutting edge of care, and gives effective professionals the chance to earn the essential skills to succeed in today’s marketplace. Project Blueprint provides training, development and placement so that you can serve on a United Way partner agency board. Upcoming training dates in 2010 include: February 11, May 6, September 16 and November 4.
The one-day workshops take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, 560 W. Lake St. in Chicago. Continental breakfast and lunch are provided. A fee of $500 is required and includes the training seminar and board placement.
Project Blueprint is open to all professionals, but it was created to give women and minorities the opportunity to serve on a nonprofit board. For more information, email Sofia Mendez at SMendez@uw-mc.org .
