Third Annual New Schools EXPO

United Way corporate partner Comcast is a sponsor of the 3rd Annual New Schools EXPO. They are encouraging your support in getting the word out to the community.  The Chicago Public Schools and Renaissance Schools Fund’s 3rd Annual New Schools EXPO is on Saturday, January 30th from 9:30am to 2:00 p.m. at Soldier Field, 1410 S. Museum Campus Dr. (indoors and heated).  Admission and parking are free. The EXPO is an opportunity to learn about and apply for admission into the newest Chicago Public Schools, including charter schools.  There will be more than 85 campuses represented at the EXPO, including elementary and high schools located on the city’s Northwest, West and South Sides.  Many of these schools offer innovative approaches to learning that could include longer school days and school years, special themes, access to technology, internships and other resources.  Guests can talk with school leaders and begin applying to new schools on-site or attend educational workshops.  Application deadlines for these schools are fast approaching so don’t miss this opportunity to one-stop-shop for a new school. There will also be a free trolley running between the Roosevelt Red Line stop and the EXPO.   If you plan to take the CTA to the EXPO, more travel information is available on the Parents for School Choice website. Please let friends and family interested in exploring the new public school options across Chicago know about this opportunity.  To learn more, please visit the website  or call 1-888-7-MYCHOICE.
