Exelon/ComEd Kicks-off 2009 United Way Campaign

United Way of Metropolitan Chicago is pleased to announce its partnership with Exelon/ComEd for the 2009 annual United Way campaign. Exelon/ComEd launched its employee giving campaign on June 19. Last year employees contributed $966,624 to United Way. In addition, the company made a generous corporate gift of $950,000. BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois Kicks-off 2009 Annual United Way Campaign

United Way of Metropolitan Chicago is pleased to announce its partnership with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois for the 2009 annual United Way campaign. BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois launched its employee giving campaign on September 14, 2009. Last year employees contributed $1,053,000 to United Way, for a total of over $2 million including the corporate gift and challenge grants. Pro-bono Consulting for Nonprofits

Students Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations (SCNO) is a national organization of undergraduate students committed to developing communities through pro-bono consulting projects with nonprofits.  SCNO provides its clients with high-quality, unique solutions to various issues to improve their mission. The Northwestern University SCNO chapter began helping Chicago-area nonprofits this winter. Days of Caring Yield Days of Savings for Nonprofits

Congratulations to all those who LIVE UNITED by volunteering through United Way Days of Caring.  Last year 3,041 volunteers from 78 companies completed 254 volunteer projects. This year, 5,596 volunteers from 118 companies completed 305 projects at health and human nonprofits throughout the region. A Day at the Races to Benefit Northwest Suburban United Way

The Northwest Suburban United Way Day at the Races will be held on August 22 from 12:30-4:30PM at the Arlington Park Race Track’s International Room.
