United Way South-Southwest partnered with the Cook County Justice Advisory Council to support youth employment opportunities for south suburban Cook county teens. A group of children from Palatine were treated to a holiday shopping spree at Target on Dec. 20. Zurich North America, a United Way corporate partner, donated 34 $100 gift cards to 34 kids who access services at the Palatine Opportunity Center (POC), a United Way funded agency that connects underserved residents in the area to services and resources in an effort to build a community of empowered people, healthy families and vibrant neighborhoods.
